Privacy policy

There are no user accounts, no sign-up, no lead forms and no advertising on this site. We do not ask you for personal data and we do not sell or share any.

Two things are kept in your browser's local storage, on your device only. They are never transmitted to us:

• Your profile — the citizenship segment, purpose of move, and whether you are moving with family or pets. This is what personalises the guide and the checklist.
• Checklist progress — which items you have ticked off.

Clearing your browser data removes both. You can also clear them from the quiz and the checklist page directly.

One cookie is used to remember your language choice so you are not re-detected on every visit.

Our hosting provider records standard technical request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and reliability. We do not use these to build profiles of visitors.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-preserving, cookieless service. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device and collects no personal data — there is no cross-site or cross-session tracking. It reports only aggregate figures: page views, referrers, and the broad country and browser class of visits. Because nothing personal is stored, there is no consent banner and nothing to opt out of.

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection regarding personal data held about you. Since we hold no personal data beyond technical server logs, there is normally nothing to access or erase — but you are welcome to ask.
